BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS
The City has three Boards or Committees on which to serve, the Park Committee, Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Residents who wish to serve do so on a voluntary basis. If you are interested in serving on a Board or Committee, please click here for an application.
Please note: Dates and times of meetings (listed below) are only tentative. Please refer to the Administration Calendar for current meeting schedules as meetings are adjusted due to holidays and other circumstances.
Board of ALDERMEN:
The Board of Aldermen's agendas and minutes are available for your review on this website. Minutes from the current and previous year are available on the website however, minutes prior to this time period will need to be requested from the City Office at 636-225-7873.
The Board of Aldermen consists of a Mayor and four (4) Aldermen elected at large, all of which are elected by the citizens of Twin Oaks for two-year staggered terms. The Board of Aldermen passes ordinances and establishes general policies for the Village. The Board elects a President of the Board who will step in during meetings due to the absence of the Mayor.
The Board of Aldermen meet the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m. with the Workshop followed at 7:00 p.m. with the Board meeting. The meeting is held in the City Office located at 1393 Big Bend Road, Suite F, Twin Oaks, Missouri, 63021. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend. Becoming a member is a great way to get involved within your community and get acquainted with your neighbors. Board of Adjustment:
The Board of Adjustment consists of five members who are citizens of the community. They are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the other members of the Board of Aldermen for five-year terms. This Board is responsible for considering variances to the Zoning Ordinance of the City. Variance requests include reducing yard setbacks, height restrictions, etc.
The Board of Adjustment meets on an as-needed basis at 6:30 p.m.

The Park Committee consists of seven (7) members, one of whom shall be a member of the Board of Aldermen. The remaining six (6) citizen members shall be appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board for a three-year staggered term. The Park Committee is responsible for developing a routine maintenance plan; presenting an annual Budget for operation of and improvements to the park; manage expenditures of maintenance and improvements; plan for future park development; review/refine park rules and procedures; and plan park events, all subject to the approval from the Board of Aldermen.

Planning and Zoning Commission:
The Planning and Zoning Commission currently consists of seven (7) members including five (5) residents, one (1) aldermen and one (1) board liason. All members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen for four-year staggered terms. The Planning and Zoning Commission exercises and performs all the powers and duties provided for in the zoning regulations.
The Planning and Zoning Commission meets on an as-needed basis, usually the third Tuesday of the Month at 6:30 p.m.

The Tree Board consists of three (3) members to include the Mayor of the City, the Chairman of the Park Committee and the City Administrator. The Tree Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Aldermen in matters pertaining to trees and landscape within the community.
The Tree and Landscape Commission meets on an as-needed basis.
